Solid Timber
The elegant appearance of hardwood proves to be timeless as it moves through different fashions in our building industry. Often described as classical, modern, traditional and contemporary homes, solid timber could never fail any décor. The variety of timber flooring available is so vast that it is now the centre piece of a home.
Solid Timber applications can be used on most substrates preferably being a concrete slab, chipboard or plywood it also may be used on joists. In addition to this it also has the convenience of being either 19mm, 14mm or 12mm in thickness, catering for those who may have height issues. What also makes it so attractive is that you can sand and polish the timber again to rejuvenate its look giving you that fresh start.
How to Choose your Timber
Step 1: Choose your Colour Please refer to the Timber Species chart.
Step 2: Choose a Grade
- SELECT Very clean and attractive with minimal feature through the board.
- STANDARD moderate amount of feature to enhance the beauty of the timber.
- FEATURE displays the natural appearance of the timber with substantial amount of markings.
Gradings Natural Markings (feature) of all grades include gum veins, pin hole, encased knots, and a variety insect trails. Colour variation is not graded.

Important Fact:
Acclimatisation
Most Solid timber flooring must acclimatise on site for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to being installed. It is to be store in a dry area away from moisture.
